James “Jim” H. Lawson, 77

James “Jim” H. Lawson, 77 of Winchester, loving husband of Judy Lawson, passed away Thursday at his home. He was born in Wolfe County on August 10, 1940, to the late William and Lucille Lawson. He was a carpenter contractor owner of Lawson & Sons Construction and member of the Ark of Mercy Church of God. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Otis Michael (Jackie) Lawson, Christopher Shane Lawson and Timothy Allen Lawson, daughters, Jamie Crouch, Kimberly June Lawson and Kathy Darlene Lawson all of Clark County, sister, Phyllis Collins of Mt. Sterling, grandchildren; Christina “Christy” Jane Mingua, Brandy Cracraft, T.J. Elkin, Jessica Barnett, James Robert “Bo” Lawson II, Krystal Barker, Trevor Satterly, Abrianna Lawson, Kristen Lawson and Scarlett Lawson and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a beloved son, James Robert Lawson. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2pm at the Ark of Mercy Church of God, 240 Winn Ave, Winchester. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until the hour of service at the church. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mike Lawson, Chris Lawson, Tim Lawson, Bo Lawson, T. J. Elkin and Trevor Satterly. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Barker and Mike Walker. In care of arrangements is the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St.
