David Edward Dobbs

David Edward Dobbs, 66, of Winchester, loving father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born on January 20, 1951, to Maxine Miller Whitis who survives in Somerset and the late Ralph Dobbs.

David attended the Mt. Zion Christian Church and was a dedicated truck driver for over 41 years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Matthew (Stacey) Dobbs of Clark County and Michael (Alexis) Dobbs of Murray, KY., sister, Connie Whitis of Somerset, four grandchildren whom he adored, Landon, Kylie, Levi and Lincoln Dobbs, also survived by the mother of his sons, Mary Ellen Hunter, and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Jenny Smith.

Funeral services will be tonight, Tuesday, November 14th at 7pm at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., with Rev. Kenny Speaks presiding.

The family will receive friends tonight from 5p-7p prior to services.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11am at the Bobbitt Cemetery in Somerset with Steve Crosby presiding.
