Were you there?

If you did not attend one of the performances of “The Lion King JR” at the Leeds Center for the Arts the past two weekends, you missed a classic, an event for the ages in Winchester. The kids in this play — 54 boys and girls ages 7 to 18 years — were truly awesome! They acted, they danced, they sang, all like pros. In fact, we could not have enjoyed the play more had they been professionals. The massive amount of talent on display was fine tuned into a seamless performance, beautifully costumed, brilliantly choreographed and cleverly staged. Hats off to the many, many volunteers — we counted at least 30 in the program “plus a plethora of parents” — who worked countless long hours to pull this off. You did your community proud, and we cannot thank you enough.
