More charges are pending against a Clark County man after police found him with a tablet containing sexually explicit images of juveniles.

Dewayne Keith Campbell, 42, of 550 Agawam Road, was arrested Wednesday after police executed a search warrant at his residence.

According to court documents, Winchester Police opened an investigation after an 8-year-old girl told her mother that Campbell offered her money to pose for pictures. The child also said Campbell showed her images on his computer of other children with little or no clothing on, according to the affidavit for a search warrant. The mother then took the information to the Winchester Police Department.

Detectives executed the search warrant Wednesday afternoon at Campbell’s residence. Winchester Police Sgt. Tom Beall said they had been investigating Campbell since October. An initial review of the images show two different children who appear to be younger than 12, he said. There are many, many images to go through, in addition to trying to identify the children in them, he said.

When officers entered Campbell’s room, he was reportedly holding the Kindle. In examining the kindle at the scene, officers found explicit images of juveniles on the device, according to the warrant affidavit.

Beall said he expects more charges to be filed as the investigation progresses.

According to the search warrants, detectives confiscated eight cell phones, a Kindle Fire, a laptop computer and a desktop computer from Campbell’s residence.

Campbell was charged with two counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, which is a felony charge. According to the Clark County Detention Center website, Campbell is being held on a $10,000 bond.
