Knitting for a cause

Published 9:00 am Friday, December 1, 2017

With the rapid approach of the holidays, a group of interested knitters and crocheters have been meeting at First Baptist Church on Thursday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to make hats for the Roma people who live in Kosice, Slovakia.

The interim minster, Dr. John Lepper, of First Baptist Church, 32 E. Lexington Ave., has a daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Jon Parks, who minister to this people group.

The items will be shipped immediately to be there for Christmas.
