CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— James Simmons, 61, of 4519 Paris Road, was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree asault.

Reports

— At 10:19 a.m. Thursday, deputies were called to 570 Van Meter Road concerning a stolen license plate.

Accidents

— At 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Veterans Memorial Parkway in which Kristina G. Bautista of 300 Vanover Way was traveling east when her vehicle went off the road, struck several signs and went on an embankment before crossing the median and all lanes of the highway before coming to rest against a guardrail.  Deputies believe the driver may have a medical issue. She was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center.

— At 5:59 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Log Lick Road in which Noah C. Karnes of 750 Lillies Ferry Road went off the road, struck a ditch and his vehicle overturned. Karnes said he may have fallen asleep. He was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center by private vehicle after complaining of back pain.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

—On Thursday, EMS personnel responded to 12 general medical calls, one cardiac case, two respiratory cases, one seizure and one stroke.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 1:47 p.m. Thursday, firefhgters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 452 Mount Vernon Drive.

— At 4:35 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at 2310 Iron Works Road.

— At 6:13 a.m. Friday, firefighters were called to Trapp Goffs Corner Road for an investigation.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— James N. Adams, 53, was charged Thursday with fourth-degree assault.

— Krista Ann Becraft, 32, was charged Thursday with theft by unlawful taking.

— Khmark Bashan Allen Blanton, 22, was charged Thursday with speeding, failure to maintain insurance, possession of marijuana and was served two warrants.

— Joshua J. Buck, 21, was charged Thursday as a fugitive from another state.

— Debbie Sue Charlton, 46, was charged Thursday with theft by unlawful taking.

— Michelle A. Hillard, 32, was charged Thursday with theft by unlawful taking.

— Jason Allen Smart, 43, was charged Thursday with fourth-degree assault.

— Tommy Keith Watkins, 36, was charged Thursday with theft by unlawful taking.

Reports

— At 1:32 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to 13 Victory Ave. for a welfare check. Jason Allen Smart was later charged with fourth-degree assault.

— At 9:43 a.m. Thursday, officers took a report after someone broke into a vehicle.

— At 9:51 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to 134 W. Broadway St. after a laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle during the night.

— At 10:43 a.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning a stolen package.

— At 11:12 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to Kroger, 1661 Bypass Road, concerning a suspected shoplifter in custody. Krista Ann Becraft was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.

— At 6:06 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 10 Heritage Place concerning a stolen bicycle.

— At 6:09 p.m. Thursday, officers took a report concerning a theft.

— 6:54 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 151 Winn Ave. concerning a person causing problems. James N. Adams was charged with fourth-degree assault.

— At 7:51 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to 202 Breeze Hill Drive concerning a theft. Tommy Keith Watkins was charged with theft by unlawful taking.
