The Lore Family in concert

The Lore Family will perform a special concert at 5 p.m.Sunday at Shearer Elementary School.

Church of the Living God, 114 Franklin Ave., children’s ministry will performed “How The Grinch Founds Jesus” at 11 a.m. Sunday. The church will also host a “Night of Christmas Music” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17. Family and friends will share their favorite Christmas music, including “12 Days of Christmas.” The Church of the Living God pastoral team will serve families and individuals communion during “Communion at the Cradle” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24. The Talleys in concert

The Talleys will perform at 7 p.m. today at Providence Baptist Church, 6543 Old Boonesboro Road. Join the congregation for music and worship.

Christmas bazaar

at Winchester

Community Church

Winchester Community Church, 123 Franklin Ave.,  will have a Christmas bazaar beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday. Items for sale will include Christmas décor, crafts, gift ideas, toys and lots more. There will also be fresh baked foods, fudge, peanut roll, pumpkin roll, cakes, pies and other goodies. Lunch will also be served, which includes homemade chili, crackers and a sandwich or soup beans, corn bread and fried potatoes.

Christmas concert

at First Baptist Church

The First Baptist Church, 32 E. Lexington Ave., sanctuary choir will perform, “This Child is the One: A Christmas Musical Celebration,” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Everyone is invited to attend.

Services at Salem Church at Pine Grove

This Sunday, as the folks of Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, continue our celebration of Advent, we will have a very special visitor: Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, who will tell his story. Worship at “The Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11:00 a.m.

Gospel singing Saturday

There will be a gospel singing at 6 p.m. Saturday at Outreach Ministry Church, 8 Bloomfield Road. The Fisher Family will be special singers.

First Presbyterian Church

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. The message Sunday will be “Peace Back Together.” Scripture will come from Proverbs 3:13 and Isaiah 40:1-11. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Junior high and high school youth groups meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sundays. All are welcome. The Rev. Ryan Bradney is pastor. Contact the church office at 744-3722 for more information.

Celebrate Recovery

meetings on Tuesdays

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. This program is for any hurt, hang-up or habit. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing is a support program based on the eight beatitudes for teens struggling with issues such as family relationships, food issues, being bullied, low self-esteem, drugs, alcohol, cutting or behavior problems.
