Main Street Winchester honors new, long-standing businesses

Downtown business owners and city leaders gathered Wednesday morning to recognize new and long-standing businesses in downtown Winchester.

Fourteen new businesses, which opened during 2017, throughout downtown were honored including: Pickin Daisy’s, Corner Drug, Evergreen Community Supports, Appalachian Peace Center, Patsey Mountain Company, In & Out BBQ, Ignite Church, Howard’s Overhead Doors, Big Blue Woodworks, Rosebud’s Boutique, Unicorn Books and Music, With My Whole Heart Photography, Bourbon & Blush and Plus Sizes N More.

Certificates were also distributed to businesses that reached significant milestones. Cartwright Designs and Bentley & Murray were honored for being in business for five years;  and Court Street Gifts for 15 years.

Two businesses, Janet’s Cobbler Shop and Napa Auto Parts, were recognized for being in business for 40 years each.

The event was sponsored by the organization committee of Main Street Winchester.
