The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announced Friday work will begin on next week for the White Conkwright Road (KY 974) bridge replacement project.

The project is set to begin Monday and includes replacing the bridge and approaches over Dry Fork Creek.

Irvine Contracting LLC was awarded the project for $486,157.26.

The existing bridge and road will remain open throughout the project.  Temporary closures will be scheduled at times during the replacement work.  The anticipated completion date for the project is April 30.

The location for the project is .05 mile east of County Road 1124 at Allensville. This is the intersection of KY 974 and Dry Fork Creek Road.

The traveling public will be informed of closures and impacts to traffic through news advisories furnished to media outlets.
