— Winchester Board of Commissioners meeting, 4:30 p.m. at City Hall.

— Clark County Board of Education organizational meeting, 6 p.m. at Central Office, 1600 W. Lexington Ave. The agenda include electing chairpersons and scheduled 2018 meetings. A special meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m. Both are open to the public.

— Celebrate Recovery meeting, 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing meetings, a support group for ages 13 to 19, are 7 p.m. at the RAC, 17 S. Main St. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the Eight Beatitudes, the 12 Steps and their Biblical comparison. — National Diabetes Prevention Program informational session, 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. at the Clark County Health Department, 400 Professional Ave. Classes will be one hour weekly for 16 week, then monthly for six months. — Community Prayer Service, 10 a.m. at First Church of God, 2500 Colby Road. Will include prayers for schools, students, teachers, staff, administrators and parents; volunteers, churches, non-profits and help groups; courts, jail, fire, law enforcement, EMS and first responders; military — active duty, veterans and reservists; those in distress; elected officials, appointed officials and civil government. If there is inclement weather, the service will be rescheduled for Jan. 13.

— Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiver support group meeting, 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Use alley door for entrance. Each support group meeting features a guest speaker followed by a time for discussion. Group is free and open to all caregivers of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients.
