Obadiah Israel (nee James Gary Mason), 66, was called by the Most High on 1/12/18 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Ky. He was the son of Grace Israel and the late, James Mason. The Happy go lucky avid fisherman and soldier of the Mighty One, is survived by his mother, brothers (Doug and Timothy) and 9 children: Amy Williams (Lawrence), Joseph Israel, Kartanya Sweat (Ronald), Chrishell Hill, Daniel Israel (Kezia), Rachel Israel (Baruch), and Rebekah Israel, all of Winchester, KY. Jonathan Israel, Louisville KY and Dinyah Israel, Knoxville, TN. Obadiah had 24 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and close friends.

Private services were held at Chenault Brothers Funeral Home and burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Winchester, KY on Sat. 1/13/2018. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that correspondence be sent to Rebekah Israel- 28 First St Winchester KY 40391 or Jonathan Israel -201 Blue Ridge Rd Louisville KY 40223.
