VERNA RAY HOOD

Verna May Hood, 70, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home in Winchester, KY.

She was born in Madison County, KY, on January 1, 1948 to the late Harvey and Nicie Peters Mason. She was a homemaker and a VFW member.

She is survived by her significant other, Oida Jay “Fred” Baker Jr.; one daughter, Carolyn Whitaker Wells; two sons, William and Phillip Parks; two sisters, Jeanette Rogers and Ella (Paul) Clem; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Cebert Hood.

Services will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Bill Flinchum. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00-7:00PM.
