Archie Edward “Eddie” Godwin, 49, of Winchester, KY. passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born on July 16, 1968 in Lexington, KY. to the late Archibald Edward Godwin and Mary Lou Parrish Shearer and step-father, Oliver F. Shearer. Eddie was employed as a truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, caving and arrowhead collecting. Eddie was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. In addition to his mother and step-father, survivors include one son, Benjamin Troy Godwin; one sister, Terri Fisher; half-brother, Dr. Max Debono De-Laurentis, MTh, D.A.; two step-brothers, Steve Shearer and James Shearer; step-sister, Christy McQuade; one uncle, Floyd Parrish; two aunts, Ann Parrish and Deloris Harris. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Floyd B and Louise P. Parrish; fraternal grandparents, Archibald Edward and Tobie Godwin; uncle, Charles Parrish. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev David Palmer and Rev. Jeff Simes. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Warren Wheeler, Floyd Parrish, Mark Coleman, Danny Rupard, David Burton, Dr. Max Debono De-Laurentis, MTh, D.A. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Warner, Henry Keene and all of Eddie’s friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
