Boone is back: Daniel Boone re-enactor gives first Fireside Chat presentation in 2018 series

Daniel Boone re-enactor Kevin Hardesty, of the Humanities Council Chautauqua program, performed for a packed house at Fort Boonesborough State Park Saturday night. Hardesty’s presentation kicked off the month-long series of Fireside Chat presentations about life on the frontier.

Fireside Chats are scheduled for Feb. 10, 17 and 24, with presentations about Pvt. William Greathouse, Dr. Albert Roberts and Maggie Delaney, respectively.

All chats start at 6:45 p.m. and are preceded by a “taste of the frontier” meal from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults or $5 for children 12 or younger.
