Douglas Dale White Jr., 68, beloved husband of Sue Hobbs White, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018.

He was born in Lexington, KY, on April 20, 1949, to the late Douglas Dale White, Sr. and Mary Katherine Rainey White. He was a retired history, sociology, and psychology teacher from George Rogers Clark, where he taught more than 27 years. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of First Church of God, and mentioned numerous times in “Who’s Who Among American Teachers.”

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his son, Thomas White (Victoria) Dillon; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Carol Ann Dillon; two brothers, Robert (Jayne) and Jeff (Dianne) White; four nephews and one niece, Brittney (Mack) Wells, Ryan White, Jason White, Jared (Emily) White and Bradley (Holly) White; and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11:00AM, Friday, February 9, 2018, at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastors Jeff and Robert White. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan and Bradley White, Chuck Thompson, Scott Porter, Doug and Mike Sallee. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Riggs, Nick Burris, David Tompkins and Jim Temple.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00PM at Scobee Funeral Home.
