The George Rogers Clark High School and Campbell Junior High School jazz ensembles are partnering to raise money for the schools’ band programs.

Funds will be raised through a dance, concert and silent auction.

The event, which is open to the community, is set for 7 p.m. Feb. 16 at the GRC cafeteria.

Tickets are $5 for student and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at grcband.org.

Auction items include Lexington Legends tickets, a cabin stay at Camp McKee, a gift certificate to area businesses and restaurants, a gift basket from Taylor Made Farm, themed gift baskets (like outdoors, dinner and a movie and family game night), amusement park passes and more.

Semi-formal attire is suggested for the event.

“This event is open to the whole community,” according to the GRC band boosters. “Come hear some great young musicians, dance and bid on some items. If you haven’t heard the jazz band, you are in for a treat.”
