Christine M. Kniesly, 75

Christine M. Kniesly, 75, of Winchester, wife of Fred Kniesly, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Christine was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 6, 1942 to the late Herbert and Ruth Carr Stoffel. S

he was a retired teacher having taught in different states but most recently in Arizona where she received many awards for her dedication to education.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Hart Chapter in Winchester and the Bluegrass Dulcimer’s of Lexington.

In addition to her loving husband, survivors include her children, Angie Schering (Denny) of Canton, OH, Brian Kniesly (Jessica) of Great Neck, NY, Katie Sarosy (Tom) of Fair Oaks, IN, Julia Masters of Richmond, KY, Andy Kniesly (Jenny) of Medina, OH; one brother, James Stoffel (Marne) of Andover, OH; one sister, Julia Pasker, Litiz, PA. She also leaves behind twenty grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, George Stoffel.

Per Christine’s wishes, she was cremated and a memorial service for family and close friends was held.

There will be an open house for friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 beginning at 6:00PM at the family home, 801 Vienna Road, Winchester, KY. 40391.
