Knights of Columbus fish fry
The Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph’s Church will host a Lenten fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. today. The menu includes fish, hush puppies, cole slaw, twisty taters and a drink. Cheese pizza will be available for children. Cost is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for children. Clam chowder will be available for $4 per bowl or $10 per quart. Dine-in or carry-out is available.
Calvary Christian hosting marriage conference
Calvary Christian Church will host “Love and Lordship,” a marriage conference in partnership with the Kentucky Marriage Movement and The Family Foundation of Kentucky Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10. Registration will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday with conference hours from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $25 each or $50 for couples. Event is open to the community for all couples and those still looking. There will be complimentary refreshments, child care and fellowship. Lunch will be provided Saturday. Services at Salem Church at Pine Grove
This Sunday at Salem Church at Pine Grove (312 Combs Ferry Road), Pastor Don Stanley will continue his series of Lenten sermons on the Lord’s Prayer by considering the phrase “Give us this day our daily bread,” and what Jesus means by referring to Himself as “the Bread of Life.” Worship at the “Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m. The sacrament of communion will be celebrated.
Community Bible Study meeting
Community Bible Study will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays at Grace Baptist Church. The study is currently on Genesis. There are classes for women and children of all ages. For more information, call 859-595-0262 or email cbswinchester@gmail.com. Guests and new members are always welcome.
Services at First Presbyterian Church
Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.
