CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF
Reports
— At 6:02 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to Shell, 570 Van Meter Road, concerning a theft of $483 worth of fuel.
CLARK COUNTY FIRE
— At 1 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 2800 Old Boonesboro Road.
— At 3:51 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1450 Mina Station Road.
— At 7:04 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a brush fire at 5129 Irvine Road.
— At 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 754 Dogwood Lane.
WINCHESTER POLICE
Charged
— Desiree Dryden, 40, was charged Tuesday with theft by unlawful taking and second-degree criminal trespass.
— Melissa A. Wilhoite, 33, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence, driving on a DUI-suspended operator’s license, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (two counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Reports
— At 2:14 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 250 Oxford Drive concerning an assault.
— At 6:27 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 126 Jefferson St. after a known male broke a window.
— At 6:31 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 609 College St. after someone stole a lawn mower, gasoline can and grass bagger.
— At 6:38 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 230 Carolina Ave. after someone stole a dog and cash.
— At 6:41 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 416 Pueblo Court concerning a trespassing complaint.
Accidents
— At 10:59 a.m. Monday, officers responded to an injury accident on Pedro Way in which a vehicle driven by Joseph Z. Bruce of Mount Sterling blacked out while driving because of a medical emergency. The vehicle then jumped a curb and struck a utility pole. Bruce was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center. A passenger in the vehicle, Donald C. Palowitch of Morehead, was uninjured.
— At 10:18 p.m. Monday, officers responded to an injury accident on West Lexington Avenue in which Ruby K.King of 2854 Ecton Road was turning left from A Street to West Lexington Avenue and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The other driver, Fred. J. Fugate of 1121 Muddy Creek Road, said he could not avoid the other vehicle before the accident occurred. Fugate was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS
— On Tuesday, EMS personnel responded to 22 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, three respiratory cases, two strokes and two overdoses.
— At 1:31 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at 470 Frito Lane.
