CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 6:23 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a brush fire at 4880 Irvine Road.

Charged

— Bonnie Stamper, 49, was charged Wednesday with theft by deception.

Reports

— At 9:05 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 357 Apple St. after someone broke in during the night and damaged a door.

— At 2:37 p.m. Wednesday, officers took a report concerning credit card fraud.

— At 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 611 Westwood Drive concerning a stolen package.

Accidents

— At 1:31 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an injury accident at 645 Frito Lane in which a WMU garbage truck operated by Danny W. Hampton of 255 Cook Ave. struck a pedestrian, Brenda R. Smith of 645 Frito Lane. Hampton said he was backing up when he heard someone screaming for him to stop. Smith was on the ground under the rear part of the truck. Hampton said he did not see her around the truck or on the back-up camera. Smith said she was crossing the street when the truck backed up and knocked her down. Smith was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with an arm injury.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Wednesday, EMS personnel responded to seven general medical calls, one cardiac case, two respiratory cases, one stroke and one seizure.

— At 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 415 Magnolia St. It was a false alarm.
