— Spring gardening class: “Traveling tomatoes: Heirlooms for Kentucky Public Libraries,” 10 to 11:30 a.m. Information for growers at every level on starting and producing tomatoes from start to finish. Tips for starting tomatoes for the home grower with minimal space, time and money. Taste some unusual tomato recipes after the program and bring some of your own recipes and tips to share with others. Six packets of heirloom tomato seeds and two tomato seedlings of two varieties: Homestead and Estill County Rose Beauty (Clark County only – all other counties receive Homestead seedlings). Register in advance by calling 744-5661.

Heirloom seed catalogs from Baker Creek, Johnny’s, Southern Exposure and other heirloom see companies to check out as well. — Unveiling of signage honoring Verne Orndorff, 2 p.m. at Bluegrass Heritage Museum, 217 S. Main St. Sign will be located on bridge on Kiddville Road to be named Verne G. Orndorff Memorial Bridge in honor of Orndorff’s long career of public service and establishment of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail.
