Pedestrian killed on Paris Road Saturday

A Clark County man was killed late Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle along Paris Road.

Ray Neal Dewayne Jeffrey “DJ” Reynolds , 34, was pronounced dead at Clark Regional Medical Center about an hour after the incident, Clark County Coroner Robert Gayheart said.

Reynolds and his nephew were walking along the road near the Royal Oaks subdivision when an oncoming motorist was blinded by lights from another vehicle, Gayheart said.

“Due to poor lighting and a glare on the driver, he did not see the person walking,” Gayheart said.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. Gayheart said Reynolds’ nephew was not struck or injured.

Winchester Police are investigating the death. Further information was not available at press time.
