WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Tuesday, EMS personnel responded to 13 general medical calls, one respiratory case, one stroke and two overdoses.

— At 2:59 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to 211 W. Broadway St. for clothes on fire in the street.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 12:03 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to 864 Two Mile Road for a smell of gas in the area.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— George Clinton Bills, 51, was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree assault.

— Karrie L. Brown, 21, was charged Tuesday with criminal possession of a forged instrument and was served a warrant.

— Zachary Scott Burgess, 29, was charged Tuesday with criminal possession of a forged instrument.

— Andrew Dewayne Hall, 36, was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree assault.

— Sheila R. Smith, 30, was charged Tuesday with driving on a suspended operator’s license, possession of open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving under the influence (third offense) and reckless driving.

Reports

— At 1:44 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 12 Denny Ave. concerning an assault. Andrew Hall was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault.

— At 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 126 Shoppers Drive after someone broke into a coin-operated machine.

— At 12:48 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 54 N. Main St. concerning an assault. George Clinton Bills was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault.

— At 1:11 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 113 Long Ave. for a harassing communications complaint.

— At 2:03 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning a possible electricity theft.

— At 2:24 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 825 Bypass Road concerning someone trying to cash a stolen check. Karrie L. Brown was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.

— At 7:06 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning a stolen video game system.

— At 7:54 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 4 W. Washington St. concerning two men trying to cash a forged check. Zachary Scott Burgess was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.
