Women gear up for National Women Build Week

About 20 women polished their painting techniques and learned to spackle at the Women Build workshop hosted by Lowe’s employees Thursday.

The workshop is part of the effort to prepare for National Women Build Week. This year’s event would be the second time tHabitat for Humanity of Madison and Clark Counties has participated in the National Women Build Week, which runs from May 6-12. This will be the 10th year for  National Women Build Week with about 98,000 women participating nationwide.

One of the goals for National Women Build Week is to create national awareness of the program and illustrate how women support the Habitat home-building mission, said Jennifer Gormley, fund development manager at the Habitat For Humanity of Madison and Clark Counties.

The program will help prepare the new ReStore space in Winchester on May 12 during National Women Build Week.
