Wilford E. Goolman, 86

Wilford E. Goolman, 86, of Winchester, husband of the late Annabel Goolman, passed away, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Clark Regional Medical Center.

He was born on January 9, 1932 in Winchester to the late Ernest and Kittie Pearl Richardson Goolman. Wilford was a lifelong farmer and a 20 plus year employee of Brown and Epperson Lumber Company. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War and a member/church historian of Dunaway United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his children, Reta Ferrell (Ersal) of Winchester, Dennis Goolman (Doris) of Winchester, Rebecca Whitaker (Gene) of Winchester, Marsha Chism (John) of Winchester, Michael Edward Goolman (Marilyn) of Winchester; grandchildren, Kathie Sosby (Ryan), Lynanne Gallagher (Shawn), Brandon Goolman, Nathan Whitaker (Shalon), Joshua Whitaker (Amber), Timothy Whitaker (Becky), Wesley Chism (Kaitlyn), Nicholas Chism (Taylor), Bri-Anna Goolman; brother, Alva Goolman (Bessie); sister, Betty Pasley (Bobby); brother-in-law, Thirlen Osborne. He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren and extended family members.

In addition to his parents and his loving wife Annabel, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sophie Osborne.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Harold Shimfessel and Rev. Robbie Shrout. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Dunaway United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Whitaker, Joshua Whitaker, Timothy Whitaker, Wesley Chism, Nick Chism, Brandon Goolman, Ryan Sosby, Shawn Gallagher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sam Faulkner, Matthew Williams, Sam Woosley, Larry Wayne Goolman, Max Schulte, Thad Ferrell, Randy Goolman, Larry Thomas Goolman, Terry Goolman, David Goolman, Jo Banks, Joe Parker, Elwick Carpenter and his friends at Paris Stockyards.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Scobee Funeral Home.
