Florene Kerr Boone, 96, of Winchester, widow of Levi Daniel Boone, passed away Monday, April 10, 2018 at her home.

Florene was born in Clark County on December 8, 1921 to the late Asa and Mary Guy Kerr. She was a retired dental assistant. Boone was a member of Winchester Country Club, Boonesboro Society Club, and the Stone, Wilson Sunday School Class, and the Charter Chatter Club for 75 years. She attended and was a member of Central Baptist Church. 

She is survived by one son; Levi Daniel (Karen) Boone III from Houston, TX; one daughter, Susan Boone (Larry D.) Franklin of Winchester, KY; three grandsons, Benjamin Clark Franklin of Winchester, Nicholas Boone (Brandy) Franklin of Winchester and Ryan Daniel Boone of Houston, TX; four great granddaughters, Carlee Nicole Franklin, Brittnee Lynn Franklin, Shailyn Ann Boone of Houston, TX, and Kaidyn Rae Stewart all of Winchester; one great grandson, Maddox Daniel Boone of Houston, TX; one sister, Mildred Crawford; brother-in-law, Bill Rose of Houston, TX; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Emma Kerr Rose, and her loving husband of 67 years. 

Services will be at 1:00PM, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Dennis Wainright. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Franklin, Nicholas Franklin, Timothy Crawford, Russell Murphy, Brandon Broadus, Jonah Gant, Lee Kerr, Gene Culton, Lewis Brashear and Ryan Boone. 

Visitation will be Monday from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM.
