Martha P. Hedger Burgher, 86

Martha P. Hedger Burgher, 86, widow of Elzie L. Burgher, Sr. formerly of Irvine Road, Winchester, KY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

Martha was born in Clark County on November 28, 1931, to Ira Clinton Hedger and Lillie May Lee Hedger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, siblings, John Thornton, R.P., Doug, Mary Jane and Betty Rose and her daughter in law, Rebecca Rice Burgher and her great grandson, Rylan Owen Riddell.

Martha and her husband of 47 years, Elzie, owned and operated a Body Shop, Wrecker Service and Mobile Home Transport and Setup business.

Martha is survived by three children: Elzie L. Burgher, Jr., Roy Lisle Burgher and Virginia Gilpin (Jake).

One daughter in law, Kathleen Hunter Burgher.

Three grandchildren: Elzie L. Burgher, III (Leslie), Hillary C. Truesdell (Tristan) and Amy Gilpin Riddell (Gary, II).

Five great grandchildren: Garrison Wayne Riddell, Anderson Lisle Riddell, Avalee June Riddell,

Aubrie Elizabeth Burgher, and Elzie L. Burgher IV.

One sister, Alice L. Ratliff and a host of nieces and nephews

Martha was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 5 to 7pm at Northside Baptist Church, 15 Pendleton Street, Winchester, KY. A Celebration of Life service for Martha will be held at 7 pm,

with Bro. Jesse Kline, officiating.

Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery and will be private.

Martha’s family would like to thank Dr. Suzanne Pica and Dr. Scott Pierce for the wonderful care of Martha.

They would also like to thank Clark County Home Health Nurses and Aides, Clark County Physical Therapy & OT, Rite Aid Pharmacy & Staff, Winchester-Clark County Ambulance Service, Clark Regional Medical Center and Hospice East.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the building fund of Northside Baptist Church.

Scobee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
