James B Chenault (JB) 83, died Wednesday morning April 25, 2018 at Clark Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Clark County Kentucky to the late Belknap and Birdie Johnson Chenault. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie J Chenault and sister Mary C Rose.

JB spent his life in service to others as a Funeral Director. He opened Chenault Brothers Funeral Home in 1972

It was has passion to care for the dead and to serve the living providing complete, dignified services to every family regardless of income. During the last 60 years he has done coroner calls, driven people all over the country, helped other funeral directors get started in business and sat outside the funeral home waving at every car that passed. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He loved playing cards, was a champion checker player and avid UK basketball fan.

He is survived by daughter, Beverly C Emanuel, stepsons Robby(Catherine) Miller and Randall Jackson.

Grandchildren; Cassee and Trent Jackson, Tamara and Olivia Miller, Allegra and Joel Emanuel III. One great grandchild, Trentity. Two Brothers, Fred and John Chenault, one sister Ollie B Overstreet. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.

Funeral service 12 pm Tuesday May 1 , 2018, visitation Monday April 30,2018 6-8pm all at First Baptist Church. Hawkins-Taylor Funeral Home in charge.
