Jean Hickman Mitchell

Jean Hickman Mitchell of Pulaski passed away Sunday morning, April 29th, 2018, at NHC of Pulaski.

She was born in Giles County on May 10, 1932 and was 85 years old. Jean was a member of the Bunker Hill Methodist Church and along with her husband Morris operated Mitchell Motors. Jean was the secretary for Elkton School in Giles County. She loved Belmont University Basketball and was an avid fan. She loved to work outside in her flower gardens.

Visitation was from 10:00 until 1:00 Saturday, May 5th, 2018, at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. The funeral service followed at 1 o’clock Saturday, May 5th, 2018, in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home. The burial took place in Maplewood Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.

She was preceded in death by her husband Morris Mitchell along with her parents Paul Johnson and Sadie Cates Hickman.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Ed ) Burtner of Winchester, Kentucky, grandsons, Bradlee Burtner of Lexington, Kentucky and Wes (Candice) Burtner of Nashville. Great Grandchildren, Max, Reese, Grace, and Scarlett. Sisters, Okalene Evans of Texas, Willadene Graves (Don) of Texas and Ann (Walt) Howell of Texas. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
