Margaret Owsley Bergholtz, 83

Margaret Owsley Bergholtz, 83, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018.

She was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Paris, Kentucky, graduated from Delevan Machias High School in Machias, New York, and attended nurses training in Buffalo, New York. She moved back to Kentucky in 2008, this time to Winchester. She moved to Panama City last summer.

Margaret was a loving and encouraging housewife, practical family manager and supporting business partner. She loved to visit, care for and rehabilitate relatives and friends. Margaret was an avid seamstress. She was inquisitive and always looking to gain knowledge. She was active at the Winchester Generations Center. She enjoyed visiting the Kentucky Horse Park.

Margaret was a grieving widow and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dana Bergholtz; daughters, Tara Dawn Hickey and Ida Lynn Couch; father, Edward Richard Owsley, III; and mother, Lucy Jane Justice.

Those left to treasure her memory include her son, Kevin K. Bergholtz; grandchildren, Dana Karl Bergholtz, Holly Marie Bergholtz, Corey Hickey, John Bly, and Nicholas Couch; great-grandchildren, Loren Ashley Bergholtz, Carson Tyler Bergholtz, Ariel Grace Bergholtz, Kyle Hickey, Gabrielle Hickey, Athure Edward Couch, Natalie Nickole Couch and Kane Bly; sister, Marie Quick; and brother, Ed Owsley.

There will be a celebration of life for her Saturday, May 19, in London, Kentucky, at Warren’s Grove Cemetery on Warren’s Cemetery Road.
