Police and fire reports for May 1, 2018

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, EMS personnel responded to 45 general medical calls, one cardiac case, four respiratory cases, one stroke, one seizure and two overdoses.

— At 1:51 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Iron Works Road.

— At 6:23 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 101 Milwood Drive. It was a false alarm.

— At 6:58 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to 1 MacKay Ave. for a smell of gas in a residence.

— At 12:29 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at Brown Proctor Apartments, 108 S. Main St. It was set off by burned food in a microwave.

— At 12:07 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at Phoenix House Apartments, 50 N. Main St. It was a false alarm.

— At 4:55 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Bypass Road.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Gary Oakley, 22, was charged Friday with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and was served a warrant.

— Homer Smallwood, 41, of Owensboro, was charged Saturday with rear license plate not illuminated, improper equipment, no insurance, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

— Clay Johnson, 45, of Florida, was charged Monday with being a fugitive from another state.

Reports

— At 5:07 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 567 Browning Lane after someone stole a motorcycle from a residence.

Accidents

— At 3:25 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to an accident on Iron Works Road in which Gregory S. Reed of 228 W. Robinson Court, went off the side of the road and was ejected from his motorcycle. The motorcycle came to rest in the right lane and Reed landed near the middle of the road. He was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Cassandra Faith Farrow, 26, was charged Friday with first-degree fleeing or evading police.

— Tammy Jean Lippert, 51, was charged Sunday with theft by unlawful taking.

— Clarence Ronnie Lee Reynolds, 25, was charged Friday with first-degree fleeing or evading police, one headlight, no operator’s license and reckless driving.

— Mark A. Rogers, 57, was charged Friday with first-degree criminal trespassing.

Reports

— At 12:27 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 147 W. Broadway St. after two people attempted to enter a residence. Cassandra Faith Farrow and Clarence Ronnie Lee Reynolds were arrested on multiple charges.

— At 4:02 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 101 New St. concerning a stolen cell phone.
