Broadway Baptist missionary luncheon

Broadway Missionary Baptist Church, 131 W. Broadway St., will host its annual missionary luncheon at 1 1a.m. Saturday, May 19. The guest speaker will be Robbi J. Barber, associate director of diversity at Georgetown College.

Guests at Evangelist Outreach Ministry

Evangelist Outreach Ministry, 8 N. Bloomfield Road, will host Earl Barnes and friends from Richmond, at 6 p.m. Saturday. Everyone is welcome.

Guest preacher at Hill Street Pentecostal

The Rev. Darroll Alexander of Fairfield, Ohio, will be the guest preacher at Hill Street Pentecostal Church of God, 308 Hill St., Saturday, May 12, and Sunday, May 13. Services begin at 7 p.m. and are open to the public.

Handbell concert at First Christian

“Darkness to Light,” a handbell concert, will be performed by Alluring Community Handbell Ensemble in honor of Mother’s Day at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church, 24 E. Hickman St. The Music Makers Youth Ensemble will be the special guest. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Tickets are good for this performance and one at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Crestwood Christian Church, 1882 Bellefonte Drive, Lexington. For tickets, email alluringhandbells@gmail.com.

Services at Salem Church at Pine Grove

This Sunday the congregation of Salem Church at Pine Grove, located at 312 Combs Ferry Road, will observe Pentecost, the birthday of the church.
