The powerhouse and stacks of Dale Station, located adjacent to the Kentucky River, will be torn down and removed over the next year. Plans call for work to begin in July and be completed by July 2019. The site of the structures will be filled and leveled.

The plant ceased operations in early 2016. Since that time, the powerhouse, which houses the plant’s generating units, has been unused and is beginning to deteriorate.
