Barbara Jean Davis, 86, of Winchester, Ky., widow of the late “Sarge” Davis Sr., passed away Saturday, May 26 at 11:00 am at Clark Regional Medical Center. She was a resident of Stanton Rehabilitation Center in Stanton Ky.

She was the daughter of both the late Oscar and Florence Wright Kenney, formerly of Winchester. She was a retired nurses aide from Fountain Circle Nursing Home, Winchester, Ky., where she worked for over 15 years.

Barbara was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching her Kentucky Wildcats, and spending time with her Fur-Babies, “Sherbert” and “Wickers”.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna Taulbee, Doris Campbell, Debbie Palmer, Davina Campbell, and a daughter, the late Linda D. Young , and son-in-law, Bryan Young; two sons, Maurice H. Davis, Jr. and Morris De Wayne Parido; two sons-in-law, Ralph G. Taulbee and Faryon Campbell; a daughter- in- law, Alicia Davis, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the Stanton Nursing Home & Rehabilitation, Hospice, as well as the doctors and staff at Clark Regional Medical Center for their incredible care provided to Barbara and her entire family.

Also a very special thanks to Dr. Ott, Olivia Creech, Latisha McCarty and Becky Meadows Parker, for their friendship and loving care. The family appreciates all the prayers and support extended to us during this time.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, Winchester, by the Rev. Don Burkhead.

Funeral will be Friday, June 1st at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with burial in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Davis, Robert Martin, Ritchie Martin, Gary Crowe, Morris DeWayne Parido, Ralph Taulbee and Faryon Campbell. Honorary will be the staff and nurses of Stanton Nursing Home & Rehabilitation, Stanton Ky and Dr. Ott.
