William Taylor, 76, of Winchester, born November 8,1941, husband of 54 years to Barbara Chism Taylor, passed away on May 26, 2018.

He was born in Bourbon Co. to the late MaeBell and Washington Berry Taylor, Jr.

He was retired from Rockwell International, served in the US Air Force, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by Daughters: Elizabeth Carroll Taylor, Karen (Ken)Taylor Slone, Amy Taylor McCarthy and Jennifer (James) Taylor Shofner; Grandchildren: Kyle William Gallant, Claire Ramsey McCarthy, Cameron James McCarthy, Jacob Tate Shofner and Jonah Todd Shofner; Grandchildren: Ethan Bentley Gallant, and Harrison Cade Simpson and their mother, Christie Gallant; Siblings: Liddy (Jim) Taylor and Bob (Myrtle) Taylor and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, grandson Taylor Joseph Gallant, and siblings: Harvey (Gladys) Taylor, Jenny (Dave) Jones, James (Dorothy) Taylor and Betty (Nelson) Flynn.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am, at Rolan G Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St, with Dr. John Owen presiding.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5-7 pm., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be, Kyle William Gallant, Jacob Tate Shofner, Cameron James McCarthy, Jonah Todd Shofner, James Todd Shofner and Gregory Mark Meadors.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Claire Ramsey McCarthy, Ethan Bentley Gallant, Harrison Cade Simpson, Kenneth Slone, Bailey Freemire, Colburn Turner and Phillip Durbin.

Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church, 32 E. Lexington Ave., Winchester, Ky. 40391.
