Brenda Duty, 71, of Winchester, widow of Herbert Duty, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at her residence.

She was born in La Follette, Tennessee on June 15, 1946 to the late Duncan and Hazel Harness McGhee. She was retired from the Lexington V.A. Medical Center where she worked as a phlebotomist.

Survivors include one son, Ron (Lisa) Duty of Alexandria, KY; nine grandchildren, Ben LaFever, Vikki LaFever, Rebekah LaFever, Ryan Duty, Logan Duty, Millie Duty, Zakariah Duty, Alyson Duty and Elijah Duty; one brother, Don McGhee. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren including her b.f.f., Chloe Duty.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Michealle LaFever; one son, Chris Duty; one sister, Joyce Markin; one brother, Bob McGhee.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00PM, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Scobee Funeral Home with Dr. Greg Waltermire officiating. Burial will take place in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 9:00AM. 

Visitation will be from 12:00PM until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
