The LLL Club met May 15 at Central Baptist Church for the monthly meeting and potluck luncheon.

President David Hoffman conducted the meeting and led the group in opening prayer.

Bob Quick, accompanied by pianist Peggy Snowden, led the group in singing two songs.

Peggy Hall, devotional speaker, read I Corinthians 13, “Love is the greatest.”

Hoffman introduced guest speaker Diana Stevenson who spoke about the 17 years she and her husband Lee spent in the Phillipines.

Bill Snowden closed with prayer.

The minutes were read by Gayle Crowe and the treasurer’s report was given by Phyllis Henderson. Both were approved as read.

“Happy Birthday” was sung to those with birthdays in May.

Hoffman read the prayer list and Ken Durkin gave the table blessing.

Lunch was served to members Cora Barrett, Juanita Burkhart, Gayle Crowe, Ken and Barbara Durkin, Jo Gravett, Peggy Hall, Phyllis Henderson, David and Glenda Hoffman, JoAnna Pelphrey, Lila Omohundro, Joe Pitts, Bob Quick, Bonnie Sartin, Dr. Bill and Peggy Snowden, Sammy Thomas, Mary Watts, Zane and Carol Williams, Eunice Yarber and Conrad and Geraldine Young, and to guests Jabal Arledge, Greg Groen, Diana and Lee Stevenson, Kristen Simpson and Kaiden Sexton.

“Out to Lunch” was June 5 to Wallace Station Deli and Bakery in Midway.

The next club meeting will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 19.
