— Clark County Fair baby pageant for ages newborn to one year, 10 a.m. at Clark County Fairgrounds on Ironworks Road. Division A is for babies ages newborn to six month born January to June 2018. — Plant Walk, 10 a.m. at Fort Boonesborough State Park. Locate, identify and discuss plants and their uses. Plants discussed will vary. Look at foraging for culinary, medical or natural dyes use. Free with regular admission to the fort. Wear walking shoes.

— “Empowering Mindfulness” conference presented by Bluegrass Mental Health and Aging Coalition, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Clark County Extension Office. Training topics include using grassroots advocacy to shape health policy, Alzheimer’s Disease updates, opioids and elders and a panel on how opioid addiction affects us all. Open to nurses, social workers, caregivers, older adults, volunteers and anyone providing services to the elderly. Training is free, but call Diana Sims at 744-3235 to reserve a seat.
