Slight rain delayed fair events Wednesday

Rain delayed the start of the carnival rides and a few activities at the 2018 Clark County Fair and Horse Show Wednesday.

Though, once the rain let up, the fair was in full swing.

The Garden Tractor Pull was canceled, but all other activities went on as planned.

The glitz and glamor continued Wednesday night with the Miss Teen Clark County pageant. In this division, girls ages 13 to 16 competed for Miss Teen Clark County, who will be a local representative and reign throughout the fair, and Miss Teen Clark County Fair, who will represent Clark County at the Kentucky Association of County Fairs.

Karlee Aldridge was named Miss Teen Clark County 2018 as well as Miss Congeniality. Chloe Wesley was named Miss Teen Clark County Fair 2018.

Fair-goers also competed for various cash prizes Wednesday during the old-fashioned fair games including a sack race, egg/spoon race, three-legged race, an egg toss and more.
