Dr. and Mrs. William E. Snowden celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family luncheon in Lexington.

They were married June 20, 1953, at the Ravenna Methodist Church.

Both are graduates of Georgetown College, where they served on the Board of Trustees.

Mrs. Snowden is a former school teacher and bookkeeper. Dr. Snowden graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and practiced in Winchester.

The couple has two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Mary Snowden, and Dane and Linda Snowden.

They also have four grandchildren, Lauren, Dr. Ryan (Christin), Joshua (Emily) and Elizabeth (Nolan); and two great-great-grandchildren, Kylee and Sawyer.
