Strawberry supper at Trinity UMC

Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 N. Main St., will host the annual Strawberry Supper from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 22. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger.

Food pantry at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will open a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry will be open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.

Services at Salem Church at Pine Grove

On Sunday, June 24, “Our hearts are restless, O Lord,” St. Augustine is quoted as saying, “Until they find their rest in You.” This Sunday the folks at Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, will hear more about satisfying the hunger of the soul. Worship at “The Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m.

VBS at COLG

Church of the Living God, located at 114 Franklin Ave., will have vacation Bible school from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly June 24-28. The theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.” Children age 3 through sixth-grade are invited to attend the sessions, where they will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing, play team-building games, have treats, make crafts and more. Each session will conclude with “Sail Away Sendoff,” which family members and friends are invited to attend at 8:15 p.m. nightly. For more information, call 745-1865.

VBS at Providence

Providence Baptist Church, 6543 Old Boonesboro Road, will have a vacation Bible school launch party at 6 p.m. today with singing, hot dogs and inflatables. VBS will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with a “Game On” theme and classes for children up to sixth grade. There will be a pizza lunch, inflatables in addition to classes. Yard sale for Christ Temple

Christ Temple Apostolic Church will host a yard sale beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday across from Spectrum Photography on Lexington Avenue.

Services at First Presbyterian Church

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.
