Reports

— At 8:09 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to 3755 Wills Rupard Road concerning a fraudulent use of a credit card complaint. The caller said someone used his bank information at a Papa John’s in Clarksville, Tennessee.

— At 2:50 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 3250 Paris Road after someone stole a trailer and ladders.

— At 5:49 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation, 200 Glenway Road, concerning an assault between residents.

Accidents

— At 2:12 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to an accident involving a CSX Transportation train and a pedestrian. The train’s conductor and engineer, Dion Wolfinbarger and Joseph Moore, said they were traveling north when they saw something lying on the tracks. They said they thought it was a bag of trash at first, but realized it was a person lying on the tracks. The person tried to stand up but the train could not stop in time and struck the person. The pedestrian was identified as 35-year-old Brandon Payton of 27 E. Washington St.

— At 11:31 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Irvine Road in which Anthony R. Tipton of Irvine was traveling west when he lost control of his vehicle which dropped ff the edge of the road. Tipton overcorrected and crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle, driven by Carrie Purcell of 680 Red River Road. Purcell’s vehicle overturned and came to rest on its side. Purcell and her passenger Allen Gibson of Waddy, were transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, EMS personnel responded to 25 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, two respiratory cases, three strokes, two seizures and three overdoses.

— At 2:12 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a natural gas leak at 24 Euclid Ave.

— At 10:41 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 1100 Enterprise Drive. It was a false alarm.

— At 12:19 p.m. and 1:14 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at Phoenix House, 50 N. Main St. Both calls were false alarms.

— At 2 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 4000 Corporate Drive. It was a false alarm.

— At 2:13 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at Rural King, 951 Bypass Road. It was a false alarm.

— At 11:25 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Two Mile and Cole roads.

— At 11:34 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Irvine and Red River roads.

— At 6:16 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at the westbound 91 mile marker on Interstate 64.

— At 3:16 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at the 500 block of Pine Ridge Road.

— At 2:34 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an injury accident on the railroad tracks near Corporate and Enterprise drives.

— At 11:26 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Two Mile and Cole roads.

— At 11:34 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Irvine and Red River roads.

— At 3:15 p.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 414 Mimosa Drive.

— At 3:44 p.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 526 E. Broadway St.

— At 6:16 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 near the 91 mile marker.

— At 7:06 a.m. Monday, firefighters were called to 555 E. Washington St. for an investigation.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Morgan A. Cain, 35, was charged Saturday with first-degree criminal trespass.

— William Kardlo Hatton, 33, was charged Sunday with prescription controlled substance not in proper container, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and was served a warrant.

— Scott Novogroski, 32, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree wanton endangerment (three counts).

— At 7:09 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 106 Alabama St. after someone slashed the tires on a motorcycle.

— At 2:02 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 1020 Bypass Road after a vehicle was vandalized.

— At 12:28 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 109 Springmist Lane after a luggage rack was stolen from a bike.

— At 5:55 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 16 Ashland Ave. concerning a stolen generator.

— At 8:31 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 23 Franklin Ave. concerning an assault.

— At 10:53 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to Kroger, 1661 Bypass Road, concerning a theft after someone grabbed a person’s wallet and cash from a vehicle and fled.

— At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 33 Buckner St. concerning a stolen bicycle.

— At 9:30 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 1307 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a stolen phone.

— At 11:52 p.m. Saturday, officers took a report concerning an assault.

— At 8:20 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to 357 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a property damage complaint.

— At 12:11 p.m. Sunday, officers took a report for harassing communications.

— At 4:12 p.m. Sunday, officers took a report concerning a stolen purse.

— At 4:18 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 118 E. Broadway St. concerning a domestic disturbance.

— At 5:02 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 951 Bypass Road concerning damage to a vehicle.

— At 5:54 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 105 Holiday Road concerning a fight in progress.

Scott Novogroski was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 6:51 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 330 S. Main St. after someone stole a ceramic lawn jockey from a porch.

— At 11:05 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 17 Elizabeth St. concerning a stolen bicycle.
