— CAIP informational meeting, 7 p.m. at the Clark County Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive. The meeting will cover any new information or changes to the program and will be followed by a presentation about the overall program. Attendance is not required to be eligible for CAIP. — Plant Walk, 10 a.m. at Fort Boonesborough State Park. Locate, identify and discuss plants and their uses. Plants discussed will vary. Look at foraging for culinary, medical or natural dyes use. Free with regular admission to the fort. Wear walking shoes.

— Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Winchester grand opening, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1946 Bypass Road. Free food will be provided. There will also be a car giveaway sponsored by Town and Country Auto.

— Cool History on Hot Days, 2 to 5 p.m. at Fort Boonesborough State Park. A special program, presentation, lecture or demonstration every Saturday afternoon in air-conditioned comfort. All will relate to the history of early Kentucky, and each will be presented in the Orientation/Theater Blockhouse of the fort. — Lexington Children’s Theater “Beauty and the Beast” Playmakers workshop, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through July 13. Students work to create their own play by using contemporary literature or a theme as their source material. The class will originate their own characters, dialogue, and story. Open to ages 6 to 10.
