WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— Over the weekend, emergency medical services responded to 25 general medical calls, six cardiac cases, one overdose and one obstetrics case.

— At 12:21 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a gas leak at 208 Pendleton St.

— At 7:12 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a  service call at 951 Bypass Road.

— At 11:52 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a false alarm at 101 Milwood Drive.

— At 1:09 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 27 Second St. The alarm was set off while the resident was cooking.

— At 8:14 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at the area of Cherry Street and Flynn Avenue.

— At 9:50 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a false alarm sounding at 695 N. Main St.

— At 10:55 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a gas leak at 158 Westside Drive.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Kevin Gray Everman, 46, was charged Friday with theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Christopher T. Noble, 35, was charged Friday with third-degree possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

— Hubert Dale Stewart, 37, was charged Friday with public intoxication of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (first offense) and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

— Jonathan Neal Thurber, no age given, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence of alcohol under the age of 21, reckless driving and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 9:21 a.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted another agency with a call to 1450 Cole Road.

— At 4:28 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a call of smoke in the area of the 4-mile marker of the Mountain Parkway.

— At 9:22 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to the smell of gas at 2652 Irvine Road.

— At 11:55 p.m. Saturday, firefighters conducted an investigation at 2 Heather Lane.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Kimberly King, 28, of 775 Vaughn Lane, was charged Thursday with driving on a DUI-suspended license.

— Benny Vires, 41, of 114 Linden Ave., was charged Saturday with public intoxication.

— Troy Abrams, 40, homeless, was charged Saturday with alcohol intoxication.

— William Francis, 41, no address given, was charged Saturday with first-degree driving under the influence and littering.

— Juan Martinez, 27, of 54 Edison Court, was charged Monday with first-degree aggravated driving under the influence and possession of an open container of alcohol in a  vehicle.

— Rose Crim, 21, of 565 Market St., was charged Saturday with receiving stolen property more than $10,000 and tampering with physical evidence. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Ironworks Road at 1:58 a.m. Saturday because the vehicle matched the description of one reported stolen. When deputies ran the plates, they also matched the stolen vehicle. Crim was driving the vehicle and had two passengers. She told deputies she was given permission to use the vehicle by its owner, but it had been reported stolen to Winchester Police Friday. Crim told deputies she drove the vehicle to Lexington and was about to drive around while she “smoked a blunt” before she was stopped. She also told deputies she swallowed the blunt when she was stopped.
