— Donations accepted daily through July 23 for a yard sale to benefit Kentucky River Foothills outreach program in Clark County. Donations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the James B. Allen Generations Center, 32 Meadow St. The date of the yard sale will be announced later.

— Moonlight Movie Nights showing of Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, 7 p.m. at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 2020 Rollings Hills Lane. Dancer’s Pointe will also perform. Free admission.

SATURDAY, JULY 14

— Winchester-Clark County Farmers’ Market Veggie Fest, 8 a.m. to noon.

— Plant Walk, 10 a.m. at Fort Boonesborough State Park. Locate, identify and discuss plants and their uses. Plants discussed will vary. Look at foraging for culinary, medical or natural dyes use. Free with regular admission to the fort. Wear walking shoes.

— Messy Art, 1 p.m. come and go at Clark County Public Library. Part of summer reading program.

— Cool History on Hot Days, 2 to 5 p.m. at Fort Boonesborough State Park. A special program, presentation, lecture or demonstration every Saturday afternoon in air-conditioned comfort. All will relate to the history of early Kentucky, and each will be presented in the Orientation/Theater Blockhouse of the fort. MONDAY, JULY 16

— Winchester Industrial Authority meeting, 9 a.m. at 2 S. Maple St.

— Veterans’ Resources United of Central/Southeastern Kentucky (VRUCK) Chapter meeting, 2 to 4 p.m. at the Clark County Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive. Meeting is open to all veterans, service providers, community workers and anyone with an interest in veterans’ issues.

— Teen barefoot painting, 6 p.m. at Clark County Public Library. Part of summer reading program.

— Informational meeting and orientation of Life Christian University Winchester, 6:30 p.m. at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 2020 Rolling Hills Lane. LCU Winchester is a debt-free, pay-as-you-go program offering degrees in theology. Classes are offered one night per week (Mondays) at the BCTC Winchester-Clark County Campus. Learn the basics of handgun operations, including cleaning, field stripping, sight adjustments, proper grip and stance, target acquisition, carry methods and skill-building. Cost is $50 per student.
