Carol Featherston, born Dec 23, 1946, died peacefully July 14, 2018.

She was born in Breathitt Co., Ky. and moved to Clark Co. as a small child with her parents, the late Cecil and Rhoda Smith Hounshell, and her older brother Tex (Sandy) Hounshell, now of Hustonville, Ky. Her younger brother, Terry (Darlene) Hounshell was born later and still resides in Clark Co.

She has one nephew, Michael Hounshell also of Hustonville, Ky.

Kay was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robin Featherston, to whom she was married to for 32 years. Kay graduated from GRC High School in 1964 and started working at Clark Rural Electric. She was proud of her 33 years of service and all the many friends she gained there, including Ruth Ann Davis, her BFF. Special people in Kay’s life include her caregivers, Tabitha Abney and Sandra Rose of Berea. Lifetime friends and caregivers, Sue Neal and Mary Craycraft, both of Winchester.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 pm in the Lexington Cemetery.
