VBS at Heritage Baptist

Heritage Baptist Church, 4369 Lexington Road, will host vacation Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. nightly July 23 to 27. The theme is “Game On!” The week will be all preparing for the “big game,” and participants will learn God has given them everything they need through his divine power. Each day participants will make crafts, play games, have snacks, sing and learn about missions. Register at the church.

VBS at Christ Temple

Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 209 Madison Ave., will have “Game On” vacation Bible school July 25 to 27 at the Oliver community Center, 30 Oliver St. Dinner will be served every evening. For more information, call 502-320-9900.

Food pantry at

First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will open a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry will be open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.

Services at Salem Church at Pine Grove

Bifocals, trifocals and transition lenses: all of them help to improve our vision. But there is nothing like faith in Christ to affect how we see the world and other people. Learn more about it this Sunday at Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road. Worship at the “Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m.

First Presbyterian

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Services at Liberty Bible Church God are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday church services, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday evening Bible study, 6 p.m.; and youth group, 5 to 7 p.m. Sundays. Interim pastor is Jerry Owen. Guest speaker is Brock Barnhouse.
