Rock the Block is moving to Saturday after getting washed out last week.

The third installment of the four-concert series will now be at 7 p.m. Saturday in front of the Clark County Courthouse featuring Kimberly Carter and Carryin’ On, according to Main Street Winchester Director Rachel Alexander.

The group, headlined by Clark Family Court Judge Kim Walson, was scheduled to perform Friday but the event was canceled ahead of severe storms that blew through central Kentucky that evening.

The concert is free and the public is encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for seating on Main Street.

It’s the second time this year a Rock the Block concert has been postponed or canceled because of bad weather. The Fever was scheduled to open the series May 18, but threatening weather forced organizers to pull the plug about 45 minutes before the concert was scheduled to start.

Alexander said the concert has not been rescheduled and it has not been determined whether it will be, because of schedules.
