Service to focus on addiction at Epperson COG
Epperson First Church of God will host a service to help those struggling with drug addiction at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 5. Guest speakers will be Kentucky State Police Sgt. Bret Kirkland, state Rep. James Tipton and Kelli Schooler, a former drug user. For more information, call the church at 859-398-0020. The service is open to anyone.
Common Band in Concert
Common Band will be in concert at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 5 at Liberty Bible Church of God, 6615 Veterans Parkway.
Concerts at Forest Grove Christian
His Heart will be in concert at Forest Grove Christian Church, 4733 Old Boonesboro Road, at 6 pm. Sunday. The church will also host Common Band for a concert at 6 p.m. Aug. 5.
Revival at Log Lick Christian
There will be at revival at 7 p.m. nightly July 30 through Aug. 3 at Log Lick Christian Church featuring Brother John Davis. The church will also have a homecoming service Aug. 5.
Food pantry at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will open a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry will be open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.
Services at Salem Church at Pine Grove
Are you one of those who frequently relies on a GPS to get you where you are going? It seems hardly anyone uses a ‘fold-up’ map any more. But the fanciest GPS in the world has nothing on God’s Positioning System. Learn more about it this Sunday at Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road. Worship at the “Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m.
Services at First Presbyterian Church
Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.
