NARFE met July 24

Chapter 1828 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association met July 24 at Taste of China.

Jeff Lewis, director of Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation, was the guest speaker. He spoke about the Silver Sneakers Program and other classes offered by parks and recreation.

Henry Duncan, NARFE vice-president for District 5, encouraged the members to contact their senators and congressmen on issues covering active and retired federal employees.

The next meeting will be at noon Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Taste of China. The guest speaker will be Perry Williams about his experiences as chiropractor for the Olympics.
